A gentler way to find your footing again
Life can feel relentless. The pressure to keep up, hold it together, and keep everyone else happy can leave you anxious, exhausted, and unsure how to stop.
Maybe you’ve been coping for a long time — doing all the right things — yet still feel stuck in a loop of self-criticism or overwhelm.
You might recognise the signs:
- Feeling tense or restless, even when nothing’s “wrong”
- Struggling to switch off your mind or body
-
- Worrying you’re letting people down, or not doing enough
-
- Carrying a sense that everyone else seems to manage better
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and it doesn’t have to stay this way.
Working Together
I’m Jemma (she/her), a counsellor based in Blandford Forum and online. I offer a space where you can be real — where you don’t have to mask, minimise, or hold it all together.
Together, we explore what’s been weighing you down and help you make sense of it. My aim isn’t to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you learn to meet yourself with understanding instead of pressure.
People often come to me when they feel burnt out, anxious, or trapped in patterns of perfectionism. Over time, our work helps you find more ease in your body, more clarity in your choices, and more compassion for yourself.
Outdoor therapy
For some people, sitting indoors can feel too intense. I also offer outdoor sessions — quiet, reflective walks or seated conversations surrounded by nature.
Being outdoors can make it easier to breathe, think, and talk freely. We’ll find a pace and setting that feels right for you.
Counselling offers space to slow down and listen to what’s really happening beneath the surface.
You can expect:
A calm, supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings
Gentle reflection and practical tools for everyday life
A relationship built on respect and understanding
Each person’s path is different. We’ll work at your pace, focusing on what feels most meaningful to you.
You’re welcome to book a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if counselling feels like the right next step.
There’s no pressure — just a chance to talk things through and ask any questions you may have.
